How to make your school budget go further!
When it comes to school budgets it’s no surprise from what you read in the news that things are tough. Although I can’t help with money saving tricks for pupil to staff ratio but I can help with tricks to keep the school moving forward with regards to maintenance of buildings. Here is a list of things that can make a difference.
Refurbish what you have - If you need to replace what was once a lovely science room, art room, food technology room. Things can be done to change the appearance and safety. For example did you know that if you have woo
den tables we could take them off and re-sand them and polish. They truly look as good as new when finished. Depending on the style of room layout sections of benching can be replaced, or service pods.
Buy the furniture for an estates manager to fit - Using the resources you already have within your school could help save costs. We can even design the area for you and just supply the furniture required. Its not that easy or cheap getting your supplies from B&Q, Jewson's etc. We will cut everything to size and provide drawings, they can even contact us if they are unsure about anything.
Plan for future funding - If you have a new building or old that is in need of renovation then we can supply drawings for you with a view to helping get future funding. This is a free service, all that we would ask is that we have a chance at tendering for the furniture in the future.
Governors or local organisations - There are many businesses such as Waitrose and Sainsbury's that help with funding of certain areas within the school and can be found on the DofE website. Governors are also sometimes willing to help the school achieve improvements to the schools through local fete's etc. If you need help in showcasing your plan please get in touch we may be able to help with our virtual rendering.
